Lukashenko: Border guards ensure the inviolability of the Belarusian borders

MINSK, 29 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the command, personnel, veterans of the border service of the Republic of Belarus who celebrate their professional holiday – Border Guard's Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Loyalty to the best traditions, eagerness to enhance them and protect the borders of the Republic of Belarus have been and still are the priorities for the current generation of border guards,” the message of greetings reads. “When on duty, border guards close the channels of illegal migration and trafficking, prevent the spread of international terrorism. The fulfillment of these tasks helps develop the border infrastructure, improve its technical equipment, and promote professional development.”

The head of state expressed confidence that thanks to their responsible attitude to their military duty border guards will continue to ensure the inviolability of the state borders, serve the people of Belarus with commitment and dedication.

The president expressed special gratitude to veterans who did their best to protect the borders of the Fatherland.
