Lukashenko: Belarus can become a springboard for Turkish business

MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Belarus can become a springboard for the Turkish business, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the opening of the Belarusian-Turkish business forum in Minsk on 11 November, BelTA has learned.

“If you are ready to run business in an honest way in Belarus, let's do it, on a corruption-free, open and fair basis. Come to Belarus and work as you do it in Turkey, and we will succeed. If you are interested in the West or East, the Eurasian Economic Union is on one side of Belarus and the European Union is on the other. We can become a springboard for your business,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

The President emphasized that Belarus is ready to support and protect the Turkish business. “If we reach an agreement, you will enjoy the same conditions as all Belarusian companies. We will treat you as we treat our people on our territory. We will provide all possible favorable conditions for the development of your business,” the head of state noted.

“If you see your business in Belarus or want to do business through Belarus, you are welcome to come and offer your services. In turn, our businessmen (we agreed with the President of Turkey on this) will work on similar terms in Turkey. We will manufacture new products jointly with Turkish companies and trade with third countries in the regions of Africa, Asia, Latin America, wherever the products that we will create together will be in demand,” Alexander Lukashenko summed up.
