Lukashenko appoints new ambassadors of Belarus to Argentina, South Africa

MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has appointed new ambassadors of Belarus to Argentina and the Republic of South Africa, BelTA informs.

Vladimir Astapenko has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Argentina with concurrent accreditation in Uruguay.

Alexander Sidoruk has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of South Africa with concurrent accreditation in Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Namibia.

Previously they occupied senior posts in the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The president approved the appointment of Leonid Batyanovsky as Belarus' Consul General to Guangzhou (China).
