Eighty kids from Syria to stay in Belarus in August for recreation

MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has signed instructions to allocate funds to arrange recreation for Syrian children in August 2017, the press service of the Belarusian head of state told BelTA.

As many as 80 Syrian children will stay in Belarus on 14-28 August for recreation purposes. Half of them will spend their time in the national children education and recreation center Zubrenok at the expense of the central state budget. The other half will enjoy recreation at the children health improvement camp Rodnichok of the Belarusian national telecommunication company Beltelecom. Their recreation will be funded by the Minsk city budget.

While in Belarus, the kids will be treated to a series of recreational and entertaining events in addition to a sightseeing tour meant to introduce them to Belarusian traditions and culture.

The project will be a logical step in continuing the constructive advancement of Belarusian-Syrian cooperation in addition to providing humanitarian aid. The health improvement project will foster friendship relations between Belarusian and Syrian children. It will also enhance Belarus' positive image abroad.
