Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards

MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 76 to present state awards (orders and medals) to 52 people, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

For the exemplary fulfillment of service duties, high professionalism, personal courage and bravery displayed in crime prevention and mitigation of emergencies, the Order for Service to the Homeland 3rd Class was conferred on Deputy Interior Minister – Head of the Finance and Home Front Department Viktor Dubovets; the Medal for Saved Life – on head of the police department for citizenship and migration, the Interior Affairs Department of the Zhitkovichi District Executive Committee, Denis Romanchuk; the Medal for Excellence in the Maintenance of Public Order – on deputy head of the department – head of the department for technical audit, traffic inspectorate and registration, the Interior Affairs Department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, Mikhail Akulich, etc. The Medal for Excellence in the Prevention and Mitigation of Emergencies was bestowed upon criminal investigator of the criminal investigation department, the Interior Affairs Department of the Zhlobin District Executive Committee, Viktor Kutyun, criminal investigator of the economic crimes department, the Interior Affairs Department of the Zhlobin District Executive Committee, Alexander Tursky.

The President also signed an executive order on the official commendation of a number of people. In particular, letters of commendation were given to head of the photo, audio, and video department of the press service of the President of the Republic of Belarus Valentina Dubina, drama artist, leading stage performer of the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theater Svetlana Okruzhnaya.
