Civil servants punished for failing to fulfill Belarus president's instructions

MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) – A number of civil servants and government officials have been held accountable for failing to fulfill the head of state's instructions regarding the integral development of Orsha District. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has signed the relevant decree, BelTA has learned.

Anatoly Cherny and Vitaly Vovk have been dismissed from their posts of the architecture and construction minister and the industry minister respectively.

Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev has been severely reprimanded.

State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas and Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus Oleg Dvigalev have been given a service incompetence note.

Apart from that, in line with the decree the head of the Vitebsk Oblast administration has been instructed to dismiss Alexander Poznyak from his post of the Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee and appoint Igor Isachenko instead.
