It is very important for young people to preserve the feeling of friendship, neighborhood in the post-Soviet space. It is important for them to meet with each other more often, to know the cultures of each other. This work is done by the CIS Council for Youth Affairs with the active assistance of the CIS Council of Heads of State and the CIS Council of Heads of Government,” Sergei Lebedev stressed. He also mentioned the CIS Youth Symphony Orchestra as an example of successful projects in this field.

Apart from that the CIS permanent representatives will discuss the improvement of the legal framework of the Commonwealth in 2018-2019. “We will discuss the distribution of quota positions in 2018-2020. Representatives of the CIS member states are working in the CIS Executive Committee. They occupy 23 quota positions. Today we will discuss the distribution of these positions in 2018-2020. We will discuss if we should preserve the existing time-tested order. I do not exclude that there can be certain changes aimed at improving the operation of the CIS Executive Committee,” Sergei Lebedev added.
