Children from China, Syria to go on recuperation holidays to Belarus

MINSK, 5 January (BelTA) – Belarus will welcome children from China and Syria for recuperation holidays. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has signed an executive order to allocate the funds for this purpose, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The money will be allocated for the treatment, rehabilitation, and recreation of 330 Chinese children in Belarus. They will get medical services in Belarus' health facilities and have a rest at the national children's education and recreation center Zubrenok and the children's health and rehabilitation center Zhdanovichi.

The Chinese kids will also go on tours of Lake Naroch, Minsk, Mir and Nesvizh castles, the Botanic Garden, the Museum of History of the Great Patriotic War, the Dukorsky Mayontak estate, and the Dudutki museum.

The president's decision is meant to strengthen bilateral cooperation with China, implement Belarus' humanitarian initiative, and demonstrate friendly relations.

In line with another executive orer, funds shall be allocated for 153 Syrian children due to come to Zubrenok on recuperation holidays in January 2018. The children's program envisages health services, excursions, and cultural events in Minsk and Belarusian regions.

The Syrian children have been invited to Belarus as part of the effort to develop Belarus-Syria cooperation in the humanitarian field and education.
