Belarus views Oman as promising trade and investment partner

MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) – Belarus views Oman as a promising trade and investment partner in the Persian Gulf region, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with businessmen of the Sultanate of Oman on 19 September, BelTA has learned.

“The relations between our states enjoy a high level of trust and sincere friendship. I would like to stress that we consider Oman as one of promising trade and investment partners in the Persian Gulf,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

The head of state added that it was promoted through the intensification of official contacts at the government and parliamentary levels within the past two years.

“Belarus is ready to develop relations with your state in all the areas. Although there is a upward trend in bilateral trade, the trade turnover still remains extremely low. I can say that we are at the beginning of the road. I am confident that the potential of our economic cooperation is huge and in-demand,” the President said.
