Belarus to resume production of musical instruments

MINSK, 20 March (BelTA) – The production of musical instruments must be resumed in Belarus. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko gave the relevant instructions to the government as he met with young artistes on 20 March, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko said: “What do artistes need? They need instruments on top of everything else. I noticed that you have instruments. At least those, who demonstrated their skills, do. Those, who don't have instruments, the vice premier promised that we will start making even musical instruments in Belarus soon.”

The president stated that a new piano costs a lot while old ones are going out of order already. “This is why instructions have been given to repair all the old ones and resume production of musical instruments but using higher standards. Particularly pianos, which we used to make in the past,” said the head of state.
