Belarus President outlines strategic tasks in agriculture

MINSK, 25 October (BelTA) – Heads of district administrations should prioritize the sustainability of troubled enterprises in the agricultural industry, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he appointed new heads of local authorities on 25 October, BelTA has learned.

“We need to prepare for the next year. It will be a special one. You will have to work hard. It makes to sense to visit good agricultural enterprises and districts too often. Visit troubled facilities,” the head of state said.

In his words, as a rule, there 1-2 agricultural enterprises requiring serious attention in every district. “Focus on them. Of course, you should keep an eye on other things as well. It does not matter if they are private, privatized, or state-owned. You are responsible for them, all directors should be subordinate to you and fulfill the legal requirements of our country,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
