Belarus president names new ambassadors to Egypt, Israel, Ecuador, Turkey, Turkmenistan

MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed new Belarus ambassadors to Egypt, Israel, Ecuador, Turkey and Turkmenistan, BelTA has learned.

Sergei Terentyev has been appointed Ambassador to Egypt and Sudan and Oman (non-resident). He will also act as Belarus' Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States. Earlier, Sergei Terentyev worked as head of the Asia, Australia and Oceania Department of the Asia, Africa and Latin America Department at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Evgeny Vorobyov has been named Ambassador to Israel. Earlier, he was Head of the Europe Department at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian head of state has appointed Nikolai Ovsyanko Ambassador to Ecuador and Colombia, Nicaragua and Panama (non-resident). Before, he worked as director of International Security and Arms Control Department at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Viktor Rybak, former head of the Asia, Africa and Latin America Department of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been named Belarus' Ambassador to Turkey and Iraq (non-resident).

Vyacheslav Beskostyi has been appointed Ambassador to Turkmenistan. Earlier, he was deputy head of the CIS Department of the Russia, CIS and Eurasian Integration Department of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
