ZHITKOVICHI, 28 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko held a government conference in the Zhitkovichi District Executive Committee on 28 April to review the district's social and economic development. After the conference the head of state decided to personally get familiar with results of beautification and accomplishment efforts in the town, BelTA has learned.
The head of state took a walk along the central part of the town and talked to local residents. He stayed for quite some time near the local secondary school. Alexander Lukashenko was pleased with how the building had been renovated and with how the surrounding territory had been beautified.
BelTA reported earlier that during the government conference at premises of the district administration Alexander Lukashenko referred to Zhitkovichi as an example of how beautification and accomplishment should be done in the town of Petrikov. He gave instructions to do similar work in that district capital within a year.
In Zhitkovichi Alexander Lukashenko also visited the district agricultural services enterprise. He was informed about the enterprise's development prospects, the creation of new jobs, and measures to improve the competitive ability. “Be careful with prices. And people need decent salaries. Then they will hold on to this job. And take a look at prime costs, particularly in winter, heating and so on,” noted the head of state.
The president also examined the production wings where vehicles and mounted equipment are repaired.
