Belarus President awards scholarships to 495 talented students

MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – On 27 June Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree to approve the decision of the Council of the Belarus President's Special Fund for Talented Students to award scholarships and money prizes to 495 people, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Monthly scholarships of the President of the Republic of Belarus in the amount of Br894,000 have been assigned to 184 students of the institutions of higher education.

Monthly incentive scholarships of Br840,000 per one calendar year, including a badge of the scholarship winner, have been assigned to two winners of the international conference of young scientists in physics, mathematics, IT, environment and the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad.

Money prizes ranging between Br8.4 million to Br11.55 million, including a badge of the scholarship winner, have been awarded to ten winners of the international Olympiad in projects of young scientists and inventors, the international conference of young scientists in physics, mathematics, IT, environment and the European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad.

Money prizes have also been bestowed upon 299 winners of nationwide Olympiads and academic competitions.

The awarding of scholarships and money prizes attests to the constant support for talented youth and the creation of favorable conditions for their development on the part of the head of state.
