Belarus, Moldova sign agreements to boost all-round cooperation

CHISINAU, 19 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Moldova have signed agreements to step up cooperation in various sectors. The ceremony took place after the talks between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Moldova Prime Minister Pavel Filip in Chisinau on 19 April, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian government and Moldova Agroindbank concluded an agreement on the allocation of loans to purchase Belarusian goods in Moldova.

Cooperation agreements were signed between the Belarusian State Forensic Examination Committee and the Ministry of Justice of Moldova, the Prosecutor General's Offices, the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection of Moldova.

The Commissioner of Religions and Nationalities of Belarus and the Interethnic Relations Bureau of Moldova signed a program of action to implement the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in securing the rights of national minorities.

The memorandum on cooperation in energy eficiency, renewable energy and alternative fuels was concluded between the State Standardization Committee of Belarus and the Energy Efficiency Fund of Moldova.

The agreement on scientific and technical cooperation was signed between the academies of sciences of the two countries.

A number of documents were signed by the heads of the regions. Gomel Oblast Executive Committee will develop trade, economic and cultural cooperation with the Executive Committee of the autonomous region of Gagauzia. Gantsevichi District plans to build relations with Leova in the exchange of children's groups for recuperation purposes. Zhodino and Hincesti also signed an agreement.
