Belarus' Deputy Interior Minister Melchenko honored with state award

MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Interior Minister – Head of the Public Safety Police Nikolai Melchenko has been honored with the Order for Service to the Homeland 3rd Class, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

On 28 January, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed two decrees concerning the bestowal of state awards. The Order of Francysk Skaryna has been conferred on chief stage master of the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theater Tadeush Kokshtys; the Medal for Excellence in the Maintenance of Public Order has been presented to Borisov policemen Sergei Glod; the Medal for Excellent Labor has been bestowed upon director of OAO Pioner-Agro, Kopyl District, Alexander Makarchuk; the Medal of Francysk Skaryna has been conferred on film actor and stunt, member of the Belarusian Film Actors' Guild Gennady Chetverikov.

Awards have been bestowed upon the representatives of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. The Medal for Excellent Labor has been conferred on dean of the professional advancement department at the Institute of Civil Service Mikhail Kustovsky. The Honored Worker of Education of Belarus title has been conferred on vice rector for education – director of the Institute of Civil Service Sergei Shavruk.

Workers of other industries have been also honored with state awards. In particular, the Honored Artist of Belarus title has been presented to chief master of the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theater Galina Bukatina. Head of the orchestration chair at the Belarusian State Music Academy Vyacheslav Kuznetsov became the Honored Figure of Art of Belarus, athlete and instructor of the national weightlifting team Dina Sazanovets became the Honored Master of Sport of Belarus.
