Belarus bans exports of raw cattle hides without trading deals at BUCE

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – The export of raw cattle hides without making a deal at the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) has been banned. This is envisaged in Ordinance No. 2 which was signed by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 20 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The document introduces corresponding amendments to Ordinance No. 6 of 7 May 2012 “On stimulating business activities on the territory of medium-sized, small towns, in rural areas”.

The ordinance will help stimulate the output of leather-dressing enterprises thanks to the maximum processing of local raw materials for the needs of light industry enterprises.
