300 Belarusian farms to use budget loans to pay for MAZ, MTZ equipment

MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – The state will help 300 agricultural organizations pay for equipment which was delivered by Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) and Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) in 2015. Corresponding decree No. 231 of 12 June 2018 signed by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko was published on the National Legal Internet Portal on 19 June, BelTA informs.

Oblast budgets will receive loans to the tune of up to Br60 million from the national residual budget calculated as of 1 January. For example, Vitebsk Oblast will get up to Br21.6 million, Gomel Oblast will get almost Br2 million.

Budget loans with an interest rate of 1% per annum will be issued for the period till 31 December 2020.

There are 300 agricultural organizations needing state support. Ninety-four are located in Minsk Oblast, 87 – in Vitebsk Oblast, 45 – in Mogilev Oblast, 32 – in Brest Oblast, 22 – in Grodno Oblast, and 20 – in Gomel Oblast.
