MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – The OSCE/ODIHR may not send its Needs Assessment Mission (NAM) to Belarus in the run-up to the parliamentary elections, Chairperson of the Belarusian Central Election Commission Lidia Yermoshina told media on 28 June, BelTA has learned.
“They are not planning to send their technical mission as the previous elections took place in Belarus less than a year ago. It is possible that the long-term mission will be deployed later than usual because the OSCE/ODIHR is well familiar with the situation in the country,” Lidia Yermoshina noted.
She also informed that the CEC has already registered six national and nine international observers.
