MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – The EU countries are ready to discuss Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko's initiative on Minsk Process, Head of the European Union Delegation to Belarus Andrea Wiktorin said in an interview to the Belarus One TV channel.
Andrea Wiktorin noted that the proposal, the creation of such a format caught the attention of the EU. As soon as there is more information on the matter, all 28 EU member states will be able to discuss the initiative and take the decision, she added.
As was earlier informed, Alexander Lukashenko suggested launching the peace-making ‘Minsk Process' to regulate the relations between the East and the West, a similar one to the Helsinki Process. In his words, the idea was put forward taking into account the positive effect from the Normandy-format events in Minsk.
