Visa-free travels to Argentina for Belarusian citizens from 19 May

MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) – Belarusian citizens can travel to Argentina visa-free from 19 May. This information is available on the website of the Belarusian embassy in Argentina, BelTA has learned.

“Citizens of the Republic of Belarus will need no visas to travel to the Argentine Republic from 19 May. Belarusian citizens with regular passports can enter, go through and temporarily stay in Argentina without visas for the period of up to 90 days from the day of the first entry continuously within a calendar year,” the message reads.

In connection with more frequent attempts to enter Peru, Uruguay, Chile by Belarusian citizens without visas, the embassy explains that people having permanent or temporary residence permits of one of the countries with which Argentina has signed an agreement on the visa-free travel for people with civil passports (for example, EU countries, the USA, Canada) should have visas of the abovementioned countries in Belarusian passports when using them for such trips.

“When planning a trip to Argentina, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, use reliable sources of information regarding the visa regime between Belarus and Argentina, Peru, Chile, and Uruguay,” the diplomatic service recommends.

It is also mentioned that the visa-free regime also applies to the citizens of Argentina from 19 May. The citizens of this country with regular passports can enter, go through and temporarily stay on the territory of Belarus without visas for the period of up to 90 days from the day of the first entry continuously within a calendar year. The citizens of Chile, Peru, and Uruguay with civil passports need a visa for the entry to Belarus. The visa can be issued at the embassy of Belarus in Argentina.
