Vietnamese parliament speaker expected to visit Belarus in 2019

MINSK, 9 October (BelTA) – Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan intends to visit Belarus in 2019. The plans were discussed during the meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko on the sidelines of the third conference of speakers of Eurasian parliaments in Antalya, Turkey on 9 October, BelTA has learned.

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan noted Vietnam is ready to advance tight cooperation with Belarus in economy, trade, security, science, education, culture, and other areas. The possibility of including representatives of the Vietnamese private sector into the delegation during the forthcoming visit was noted. The organization of a business forum in Belarus was mentioned as well.

Ways to step up cooperation in international parliamentary organizations were also discussed.

The Vietnamese side thanked the Belarusian nation, the head of state, and the parliament for the immediate response to the sad news about the demise of Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang. A representative Belarusian delegation led by Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich attended the farewell ceremony in Hanoi.
