Vietnam values friendly relations with Belarus

MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) - Vietnam values highly the friendly relations and multilateral cooperation with Belarus, Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang said during the meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko with the participation of the delegations on 27 June, BelTA informs.

“I should note that the relations between our countries have been steadily developing in every area. Vietnam values, strengthens and develops traditionally friendly relations and multilateral cooperation with Belarus, builds the basis for taking our relations onto a new level,” said Tran Dai Quang.

The president of Vietnam added that the countries exchange regular high-level delegations, which makes a great contribution to the construction of trust-based relations and adds an impetus to the bilateral comprehensive cooperation. He praised the results of the visit of Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong to Belarus in November 2014 and also the state visit of Alexander Lukashenko to Vietnam in December 2015.

“The implementation of the concluded documents by both the sides demonstrate good results, especially in the trade and economic sector,” the head of state said.

Tran Dai Quang extended greetings as Belarus is preparing to mark its Independence Day. “I am confident that under your leadership, Mr President, the Belarusian people will actively progress along the chosen path and reach new goals on the way to the country's public and economic development,” he said.
