Union State MPs to hold parliamentary hearings in Bryansk

MINSK, 15 June (BelTA) – There are plans to hold parliamentary hearings during the 53rd session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Bryansk, Speaker of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said following the 52nd session which was held in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

We believe that we need to use new forms of work and fill them with content that meets the expectations of the people,” Vyacheslav Volodin noted. According to him, i the next meeting due in Bryansk in December this year will include the parliamentary hearings. This is the format for the discussion of the most pressing issues on the agenda: protection of citizens' rights and the harmonization of legislation in this area, health, education, etc. “For us, this format is new. We will be preparing for it. And, of course, the adoption of the budget is one of the key items on the agenda of the December meeting,” he said.

According to Vyacheslav Volodin, at the meeting in Minsk the Union State MPs made an attempt at an action plan for the next 5 years, from 2018 to 2022. The Speaker believes that the most important thing is to build harmonious relations and solve any problems arising in the integration process in a prompt and efficient manner.
