Union State Council of Ministers High Level Group to meet in Minsk

MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – A meeting of the High-Level Group of the Union State Council of Ministers will be held in Belarus on 17 November, BelTA learned from the office of the Union State Permanent Committee in Minsk.

The meeting will be co-chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky and First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov.

The sides will consider topical issues of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation. The agenda will include a number of areas of bilateral interaction: access of goods, works, services to the markets of two countries; priority directions in the development of the Union State; involvement of financial institutions in the development of the Union State member states; the implementation of the action plan for the unified structural industrial policy of the Union State; the preparation of the draft concept of the program of joint activities for the protection of the population and the rehabilitation of the territories affected by the Chernobyl disaster, and a number of other issues.

Attending the meeting will be representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs, finance, economy, industry, agriculture, trade, education, and emergencies ministries, development finance institutions, other ministries and agencies of the two countries.
