MINSK, 18 June (BelTA) - The Ukrainian Embassy in Belarus will designate a diplomat for contacts with the CIS Executive Committee, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev told the media, BelTA has learned.
“We have received a note that the Ukrainian Embassy in Belarus will designate a diplomat who will be responsible for contacts with the CIS Executive Committee,” Sergei Lebedev said. He expressed the hope that these contacts will be continued.
Meanwhile the CIS Executive Committee has not received official documents on Ukraine's withdrawal from the CIS. “Non-participation of Ukraine in the CIS integration does not benefit Ukraine or other countries of the Commonwealth. We continue to advocate the return of Ukraine to our family,” Sergei Lebedev said.
