Trilateral contact group on Ukraine in session in Minsk

MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – The trilateral contact group on Ukraine has resumed talks in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The negotiations started with a meeting of the coordinators of the working groups.

The agenda of the previous meeting included issues of security, compliance with the ceasefire regime, the implementation of the agreement on withdrawal of heavy weapons, disengagement of forces and hardware, protection of civilians and critically important infrastructure. The contact group paid special attention to the development of a mechanism to verify if a person wants to stay in the territory where he was detained after being released. The group also discussed matters related to the protection of civil population, especially children.
