MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus received ten complaints about the results of the election campaign from Belarusian parliamentary candidates, CEC head Lidia Yermoshina said at the CEC meeting on 16 September, BelTA has learned.
According to Lidia Yermoshina, nine out of ten complaints included demands to recognize the elections invalid, and one more demanded the recount of votes.
Two complaints were considered by the corresponding district election commissions. Three more are currently at the stage of consideration. Another three have been submitted by the Central Election Commission to the district commissions. The rest were left out of account as the rules of lodging a complaint were violated.
