Talks on Ukraine to resume in Minsk on 4 April

MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – The next meeting of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine is scheduled in Minsk on 4 April, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Today's meeting of the trilateral contact group in the Belarusian capital will take place without Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group, Ambassador Martin Sajdik. According to the ministry, the diplomat could not fly to Minsk due to bad weather in Kiev.

The working groups of the trilateral contact group are currently in session.

The previous talks on Ukraine were held in the Belarusian capital on 28 February. The participants of the talks discussed water deliveries through the Karbonyt and Voda Donbassa supply systems, repayment of arrears to former employees of the Ukrainian Railways in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Another topic was the return of freight cars in foreign property currently retained in Donbass. The exchange of prisoners of war was in the spotlight of the meeting of the working group on humanitarian affairs.
