Talks on Ukraine resume in Minsk on 25 July

MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) – Another round of talks to settle the situation in the east of Ukraine started in Minsk on 25 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The talks involve working groups.

At the previous meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on 11 July OSCE's special representative in the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik said that the number of the ceasefire violations in the east of Ukraine significantly decreased since the ceasefire had been announced on 1 July. The Working Group on Economic Affairs continued the discussion of further steps to restore and improve Vodafone-Ukraine mobile communication in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The group also considered the topic of water deliveries in Karbonyt and Voda Donbassa systems. Another working group continued discussing the implementation of the so-called ‘Steinmeier formula', the amnesty and the modality of local elections in certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
