Tajikistan vows to do its best to implement joint projects with Belarus

DUSHANBE, 12 October (BelTA) - Tajikistan will take all measures to ensure successful implementation of the joint projects with Belarus, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon said as he met with Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Rumas in Dushanbe on 12 October, BelTA learned.

Emomali Rahmon emphasized that Tajikistan is prepared to implement all the agreements reached during the Belarusian president's visits to Tajikistan in May and September and that the countries are strategic partners. During the meeting the Belarusian side confirmed that it will send the draft treaty on strategic partnership to Tajikistan in the near future.

According to the Tajikistan president, the government will continue to provide all possible support for joint projects with Belarus. These include the exemption from VAT and also some other preferences. Tajikistan will use all the necessary administrative resources for this, he stressed.

According to the Tajik side, almost everything is ready for shipping young plants to lay orchards in Belarus.
