Surikov: We are grateful to Lukashenko for decision to pay first visit after election to Russia

MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – The Russian side is grateful to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko for his decision to go to Russia as the visit after the presidential election, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Alexander Surikov said in an interview with the STV channel, BelTA has learned.

“We are grateful for this decision,” the Ambassador said.

Alexander Surikov believes that the forthcoming visit of the Belarus President to Russia will focus on the strengthening and development of the Union State, expansion of the trade and economic cooperation, hydrocarbon prices. He believes that unified approaches on the latter can be worked out till 2024. “We have begun this movement from the prices for oil and gas,” the diplomat said.
