Sidorenko: Belarus should draw and support Europe's interest

MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) - Belarus should draw and support Europe's interest, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Germany Denis Sidorenko said at a panel discussion during Minsk Forum 2017 on 16 November, BelTA informs.

“The interest in Belarus is growing. It is of utmost importance for us to support and develop it. I view my mission in Berlin as to strengthen and support the interest which exists today in Belarus and make it a basis for the future agenda,” Denis Sidorenko said.

Europe's attitude to Belarus has changed in the recent years, the ambassador stressed. According to the diplomat, the new perception of Belarus is felt during his official and business meetings in Germany, be it with politicians and state figures, businessmen, or representatives of public organizations. “Almost all the doors are open for me. I ma grateful to Germany for the provided opportunity to establish new contacts and build bridges that are important for the future relations between Belarus and Germany, Belarus and the EU,” the ambassador added.
