Putin arrives in Mogilev to attend Forum of Regions of Belarus, Russia

MOGILEV, 12 October (BelTA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Mogilev to attend the 5th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. The plane of the Russian head of state landed at the international airport of the oblast capital, BelTA has learned.

Vladimir Putin was welcomed by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko. After the welcoming ceremony, the heads of state headed for the venue of the plenary session of the forum. The plenary session will be dedicated to regional cooperation as a key factor in integration and Union State development.

The plenary session will be preceded by a one-on-one meeting of the two leaders, during which Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will discuss the most pressing issues of Belarusian-Russian relations.

While in Belarus, the Russian president will be able to meet with his Belarusian counterpart in an informal setting.
