Prospects of resuming operation of Belarus-Germany Business Cooperation Council discussed

MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – Prospects of resuming the operation of the non-governmental Business Cooperation Council were discussed during the latest meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Germany Denis Sidorenko and Managing Director of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations Michael Harms, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

During the meeting the sides discussed results of the visit of a delegation of representatives of German business circles led by Michael Harms to Belarus in November. The sides also discussed the organization of joint events of economic nature and prospects of resuming the operation of the non-governmental Business Cooperation Council.

The Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations was founded in 1952. It is a joint organization of the leading associations representing the German private sector. Membership in the Committee is open to companies with interests in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, Southeast Europe, the Caucasian republics and Central Asia.

The Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations provides a number of services, including access to a network of contacts in government agencies and business associations in Germany and Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, Southeast Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. The Committee provides up-to-date information about economic events in these regions. The Committee organizes visits of delegations, conferences, seminars with high-ranking government representatives and businessmen from Russia, Southeast Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.
