Progress in Belarus-EU political dialogue noted

MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko took part in sessions of the annual conference of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) and the EaP CSF ninth annual assembly on 26 October. The events took place in Tallinn under the aegis of Estonia's presidency in the Council of the European Union, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

Oleg Kravchenko made a speech during the session on the civil society's expectations from the Eastern Partnership summit and the Eastern Partnership goals and tasks till 2020. The official stated that progress had been secured in the political dialogue between the Republic of Belarus and the European Union. He also outlined Belarus' vision of key spheres and priorities of cooperation with the European Union, ways to improve the effectiveness of the Eastern Partnership Initiative. Belarus' expectations from the Eastern Partnership summit, which is supposed to take place in Brussels in November 2017, were mentioned as well.

On the sidelines of the forum the Belarusian deputy minister of foreign affairs met with representatives of European agencies, the European Union member states, and countries participating in the Eastern Partnership Initiative.
