Preparations for joint Belarusian-Russian events discussed in Moscow

MOSCOW, 21 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Russian Stats-Secretary – Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin discussed the preparations for the joint Belarusian-Russian events during a meeting in Moscow, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

“The parties discussed the topical issues of the Belarusian-Russian relations, the preparations for the planned joint events, and the cooperation on in international organizations,” the embassy said.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties exchanged views on the current issues of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation, including the implementation of the agreements reached during the talks between Ministers of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on 21 February. The parties also discussed the preparations for the events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Russia to be marked in June 2017.
