MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is the most popular foreign leader among Ukrainian people. According to the opinion poll conducted by the Sociological Group Rating, the approval rating of the Belarusian President among the Ukrainian respondents stands at 63%.
According to the information available on its website, 58% of Ukrainians approve of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, 51% express confidence in Lithuania President Dalia Grybauskaite, 49% - in Poland President Andrzej Duda and U.S. President Barack Obama.
The approval rating of France President Francois Hollande is 40%, Kazakhstan leader Nursultan Nazarbayev – 37%.
The survey was conducted on 14-22 January 2016. Partaking in the opinion poll were Ukrainians aged 18 and over. These were people of different age and gender, from different regions and populated areas. The number of respondents was 2,000.
Sociological Group Rating (Rating Group Ukraine) was established in 2008 as a non-governmental independent research organization specializing in all kinds of sociological research in compliance with international standards set forth by the ESOMAR and WAPOR codes. The organization annually holds about 100,000 interviews and 100 focus group surveys.
