New OSCE chairperson-in-office to visit Kiev, Moscow

MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – New Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Sebastian Kurz will visit Kiev and Moscow, BelTA learned from the OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on resolving the conflict in Ukraine's east Martin Sajdik on 16 January.

According to the source, a new OSCE chairperson-in-office was appointed on 1 January. Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sebastian Kurz now holds the position. He already visited the conflict zone in Ukraine's east in early January. He is primarily interested in humanitarian problems. “He will fly to Kiev today for further consultations. Then he will visit Moscow,” said Martin Sajdik.
