Need to expand Belarus-Saudi Arabia official contacts emphasized

MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi emphasized the need to expand official contacts during a meeting in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The sides agreed that Belarus and Saudi Arabia should be strengthening their relations, in particular by expanding official contacts,” the press service said.

The diplomats exchanged views on the current state of bilateral cooperation and on the exchange of high-profile visits. They pointed to considerable potential for the development of cooperation in science, education, agriculture, and medicine.
