CHISINAU, 20 April (BelTA) – Moldova President Igor Dodon is expected to pay an official visit to Belarus on the invitation of Belarusian head of state Alexander Lukashenko. The visit is preliminary scheduled for 13-14 July 2017, the president of Moldova said during a Moldovan TV show, BelTA has learned.
The Moldovan head of state noted that he was invited to visit Belarus by his counterpart Alexander Lukashenko during their recent meeting as part of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Bishkek.
Igor Dodon stressed that Moldova should follow the example of Belarus which has achieved success in many areas.
“Take a look at Belarus and its economic development, its agriculture, employment rate, infrastructure. In many international ratings Belarus sits far above Moldova,” Igor Dodon said.
