MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) - Belarus' leadership in the United Nations is needed as never before, UN Deputy Secretary General Amina J. Mohammed said as she met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 21 February, BelTA has learned.
“Your leadership is needed today as never before. The leadership and the voice for multipolarity, for the multilateral settlement of the problematic issues which Belarus raises in the international arena,” Amina J. Mohammed said.
She stressed that in the modern world there are too many conflicts, and they are very different, depending on the region where they are happening. “We categorically lack a tolerant attitude to different situations and manifestations,” the UN deputy secretary general said.
