MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) - Permanent plenipotentiary representatives of the CIS member states in the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States will discuss the draft agenda of the next meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council on 20 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The permanent plenipotentiaries will study the issues to be included in the draft agenda of the next meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council, which will be held in Dushanbe in June 2018. They will also harmonize the draft agenda of the joint meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries and the Commission for Economic Affairs at the CIS Economic Council,” the press service said.
The CIS permanent plenipotentiaries will discuss the ways to increase the effectiveness of the meetings on preparation of the meetings of the CIS supreme bodies. According to the press service, “such meetings are held in the run-up to the sessions to evaluate the readiness of their agendas, to remove the existing differences, and also to consider protocol issues.”
The permanent plenipotentiary representatives will review the activities taken by the CIS Executive Committee to implement the resolution of the fourth CIS Congress of Teachers and Education Employees in Moscow in October 2016. The status of preparations for the fifth Congress due in Bishkek in October this year will be reviewed as well. It is expected that the theme of the forum will be “Education in the CIS countries in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals.”
The CIS permanent plenipotentiaries will agree on the candidature of the head of the CIS observer mission at the elections of the President of Azerbaijan on 11 April.More about Politics
