MFA: European Parliament's resolution does not reflect the current state of Belarus-EU cooperation

MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – The resolution on Belarus, recently passed by the European Parliament, does not reflect the spirit of the current cooperation between Belarus and the EU, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik said as he commented on the document.

“Yes, we saw the latest work of the European Parliament on Belarus. All we have is a feeling of dejа vu, a feeling of ‘we have been through this already'. The document does not only reflect the spirit of the current state of cooperation between Belarus and the European Union, but also damages our fragile process of normalizing the relations,” he said.

According to the spokesman, a number of absolutely misleading messages and statements show the absence of any intention in MEPs to understand the current situation in the European region and demonstrate the still negative attitude to Belarus.

“Once there is no objectivity and impartiality, there is nothing to comment on,” Dmitry Mironchik added.
