MOGILEV, 12 October (BelTA) – The competition to host the 6th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia is very high, Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia Valentina Matviyenko said at a press briefing on 12 October, BelTA has learned.
According to Valentina Matviyenko, active discussion is underway. Many venues are offered, including St. Petersburg, Astrakhan. “We will take a break in order to make up our mind. What we know is that the next forum will be dedicated to the youth. The idea was supported by the heads of our states. We also want to touch upon cooperation in culture and humanitarian affairs, to consider it from the point of view of young people,” she noted.
“For now, I can tell you one thing for sure: the 6th Forum of Regions will be held in Russia,” Valentina Matviyenko added.
