MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Belarus Sanaka Samarasinha on 30 August 2016, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
“The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between Belarus and the UN, including the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals that were endorsed by the UN member states in New York in 2015,” the press service said.
Special attention was paid to the issues related to the implementation of international technical assistance projects in Belarus. The parties reaffirmed their readiness to continue joint efforts on a number of issues.
