Makei, Michaelis discuss Belarus-EU relations in Minsk

MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – The relations between Belarus and the European Union were discussed at a meeting between Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei and Political Director of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany Andreas Michaelis on 10 February, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties exchanged opinions on various issues related to the Belarusian-German cooperation, as well as the relations between the Republic of Belarus and the European Union.

Andreas Michaelis also held negotiations with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna. “The parties continued the discussion of political, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, as well as collaboration in the international arena, particularly, within the framework of the OSCE in the light of the German Presidency in the organization in 2016,” the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
