MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – The possibility of exchanging top-level visits remains on the Belarus-Vatican agenda, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna told journalists on 2 October, BelTA has learned.
“The visit (of the Belarus President to the Vatican – BelTA's note), as well as the visit of the Pope to Belarus, is a regular item on our agenda. The visit will surely take place if it brings tangible benefits for Belarus' national interests. I know that the Belarusian President is welcome in the Vatican, same as the Pope in Belarus,” Alena Kupchyna said.
“We are considering ways to make this possible visit as fruitful as possible,” she added. Meanwhile, Alena Kupchyna noted that no specific dates for the visit have been fixed yet.
