Kazakhstan ambassador points out openness of Zapad 2017 exercise

MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Russian strategic army exercise Zapad 2017 is open for observers, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus Yergali Bulegenov told a press conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, BelTA informs.

“I do not share the concerns of those diplomats (it is known what countries they represent). We regularly hold such exercises in Kazakhstan. These are scheduled exercises. They were not scheduled yesterday or the day before yesterday, corresponding information was provided in advance. And they are open for all states. We know that representatives of many countries have been invited,” Yergali Bulegenov said.

The ambassador expressed confidence that the Zapad 2017 exercise will be a success.
