Investment, negotiations with EU, WTO discussed in Minsk

MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) – Belarus' First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Yevdochenko met with a delegation of the Federal State of Bavaria (Germany) which is in Belarus on a working visit, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The parties discussed the status and prospects for the development of Belarusian-German cooperation in trade and investment. Consideration was given to the measures to enhance the investment attractiveness of the Republic of Belarus. The theme of the Eurasian Economic Union and the negotiations with the EU and the WTO were also on the agenda,” the press service noted.

The visit was organized with the participation of the Belarusian Consulate in Munich. The delegation includes representatives from the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria, and BayernLB. The meeting was also attended by German Ambassador to Belarus Peter Dettmar.

The Bavarian delegation is set to meet with officials of the Belarusian Development Bank, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Great Stone Industrial Park and some companies.
